Sending Love….

By Betsy Payne, PBB Projects Officer

Psychology Beyond Border’ mission awards process is an excellent opportunity for us to support the research community to advance their passion and focus.  I recently watched a 2008 Mission Awards recipient, Dr. David Sattler learning DVD titled: “Learning about Tsunamis with Jai the Elephant”. This dvd is geared toward children to teach them about how tsunamis happen and how they should respond if a tsunami warning is issued for their community.  The dvd is an excellent communication and teaching tool for those areas in the world that could be potentially impacted by a tsunami.  I found it very informative and was captivated with the beauty of Thailand! Hopefully, this tool will continue to be utilized by other communities that chould be potentially impacted by an earthquake or tsunami.

It is always nice to see quality work benefitting the greater good! Congratulations Dr. Sattler on a delightful and informative teaching tool! Hope your good works continue.

In this week dedicated to love, I am sending love  to those who lost loved ones in the tsunami and who continue to be impacted by the  devastation.
