What’s driving Mental Health & the Recovery Act?

A little April Fool’s Day trivia…

There is a connection.
A Google search of “mental health and the economy” brings up >8,000,000 results.

To put this in perspective… a Google search of “mental health and natural disaster” brings up about 1,150,000 results, and “mental health and terrorism” brings up about 2,800,000.

There are a lot of different approaches to take when thinking or writing about mental health and the current economic climate in the United States.  Right now, the auto industry is probably on a lot of people’s minds because of the bail-out requests and because of the recent changes in management at General Motors.  Given that the auto industry and its issues hit close to home for me, I’ll start there.
